Need to print documents or photos but don’t have a printer at home? Finding a convenient place to print can be a challenge. Luckily, with wireless printing services, you can print from almost anywhere and pick up your documents nearby. This guide will walk you through how to easily print your documents wirelessly and where you can pick them up.
Wireless Printing
At our library, we offer a simple and affordable wireless printing service. You can print from your computer, phone, or tablet and pick up your prints at your convenience. Printing costs are just 15¢ per page for black & white and 25¢ per page for color prints.
Before you start, you can check our system status page for any potential service interruptions to ensure a smooth printing experience.
Three Easy Methods for Wireless Printing
We provide three user-friendly methods to send your print jobs wirelessly, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
Method 1: Web Upload for Secure Printing
For a secure and encrypted way to print your documents, use our web upload portal powered by ePRINTit. This method is ideal for printing files directly from your mobile device or computer storage.
To use this option, simply submit your print jobs here. This link will take you to our secure upload page where you can select your files and send them to our printing system.
Method 2: Email Printing for Quick Jobs
If file security is not a primary concern and you need a quick way to print, you can use our email printing service. Please be aware that email is not an encrypted method, so avoid emailing documents with sensitive personal information.
To print via email, send your documents as attachments to the following email address:
[Insert Library Email Address Here]
After sending your email, you will receive a confirmation email containing a release code. You’ll need this code to pay for and pick up your print job.
Method 3: Mobile App Printing for On-the-Go Convenience
For the most convenient mobile printing experience, download the ePRINTit Public Print Locations app. This app allows you to easily print from your smartphone or tablet.
You can download the app from these stores:
The ePRINTit app also connects to cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive, giving you access to your files stored in the cloud.
When setting up the app, search for our library by zip code 37902 (Knox County Public Library) and select it as your print provider. You can pick up your prints at any of our branch locations, regardless of which location you select in the app.
Picking Up and Paying for Your Prints
Once you’ve sent your print job, you can pick it up and pay at several convenient locations, including:
Your print job confirmation will display an estimated total cost. Please note that the final cost may be adjusted after processing. For example, pages submitted for color printing that are actually black and white will be charged at the lower black & white rate.
If you printed via email, your print job might appear as multiple entries: the email body (named “email.html”) and any attachments. You have the option to only print the attachments and not the email body itself.
Important Details to Know Before You Print
To ensure a smooth printing process, please keep these details in mind:
- File Compatibility: You can print emails, web pages, photos, and documents. However, ensure your files are not encrypted or password-protected before uploading. While web and app uploads are encrypted, email printing is not.
- Library Card Not Required: You don’t need a library card to use our printing service. However, a library card number can be used as an ID for your print jobs, which can be helpful.
- Multiple Jobs, Single Payment: You can send multiple print jobs and pay for them all at once when you pick them up.
- 24-Hour Availability: Print jobs are held for 24 hours. Please pick up your prints within this timeframe. After 24 hours, they will be automatically deleted from the system.
- Single-Sided Printing: Our system currently supports single-sided printing only. Duplex (double-sided) printing is not available. Each page will be printed on one side of a sheet of paper.
We hope this guide helps you easily find Where To Print Something and utilize our wireless printing services. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us or visit your nearest branch for assistance.
