Kyle Coon, a UCF communication alumnus, will be competing in the Paralympic triathlon at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, with events scheduled for September 1-2. Coon secured his spot on Team USA after an impressive third-place finish at the World Triathlon Para Series Montreal. His journey in athletics is inspiring, especially considering he lost his eyesight to cancer as a child. Esdale’s rugby career took off after playing for the Naples Bears and developing his skills further with the UCF Rugby Club. Viktorija Senkute ’18: Rowing for Lithuania in Paris Olympics 2024
Viktorija Senkute, a UCF interdisciplinary studies alumna, will represent Lithuania in women’s single sculls rowing at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Her competition dates are from July 27 to August 3. During her time at UCF, Senkute was part of a dominant rowing program that won four conference championships. She acknowledges UCF’s role in shaping her into a team player and providing a unique opportunity to combine sports and education, which has prepared her for the challenges of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Kristen Thomas ’16: Rugby Sevens Reserve for Team USA at Paris 2024
Kristen Thomas, a UCF theatre studies alumna, will serve as a rugby sevens traveling reserve for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Her events are scheduled for July 28-30. Thomas is a veteran of the sport, having co-captained Team USA at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Her rugby journey began at UCF, and her skills were quickly recognized, leading to her joining the national team.
