  • 10-Trip Tickets: Refunded at purchase price if all trips are unused and submitted.
  • Monthly/Weekly Passes:
    • Refund requests postmarked before the validity period start date are refunded at the purchase price.
    • Requests postmarked after the validity period begins will have two full one-way fares deducted for each business day from the start date to the refund request date.
  • Refund checks are mailed within six weeks of the Refund Department receiving the request. Credit/debit card refunds are credited back to the card. Cash refunds are issued as NJ TRANSIT checks.
  • Courtesy tickets are non-refundable and cannot be used as credit.
  • One-way fares are not refunded if purchased due to not having weekly/monthly passes at the time of travel.
